党卫队（Schutzstaffel），英文普遍简称为SS，是德国纳粹党中用于执行治安勤务的编制之一，与纳粹党武装战斗执行部队的冲锋队并立的另一支纳粹党情报和监视、拷问行刑组织。
原是纳粹党于冲锋队外专为希特勒设立的个人随护团，后隶属于冲锋队，于1925年从冲锋队独立，专于保护纳粹党所有高官、反刺杀情报搜集、政风监察，1929年后演进成执行纳粹党的调查“审问”治安维护“巡逻”取缔的治安部队，最重要的是对纳粹党内部与冲锋队的监控，是为纳粹党自身的宪兵单位。而之后更随着党卫队经由党卫队全国领袖希姆莱担任德国内政部长成立国家安全局将置于国家的警政’情治，党卫队更成为德国实质上的国家公安单位，进步为谍报“监视”收容的治安组织。
缩写为SS的Schutzstaffel组织是德国国家内的特权工具。它成立于1925年4月，旨在确保阿道夫·希特勒的近身保护，而随着时间的推移，它成为了一个真正的国家，组织了欧洲犹太人的灭绝，同时还承担了政治、镇压、意识形态甚至军事方面的职能，包括创建武装SS。
Also known by the acronym SS, the Schutzstaffel organization was a privileged instrument within the German state. Created in April 1925 to ensure the close protection of Adolf Hitler, it became over the years a real state within a state, organizing the extermination of the Jews of Europe, but also assuming political functions, repressive, ideological and even military with the creation of the Waffen-SS.
